The CPD seminar on “New Era for Digital Construction”is jointly organized by HKICBIM and the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, on 13 June 2019.

We are honoured to have Ms. Ada Fung, Former Deputy Director of Housing (Development & Construction) at Hong Kong Housing Authority, to be our guest speaker. She will share her insights on the “buildingSMART International Standards Summit” held on 25 March 2019 in Germany, which focused on the digitization of the construction industry and the development of open digital standards for improving the design, build and management of assets in the built environment.

The seminar will be conducted in English and is free of charge. Kindly register your seat in advance. Attending members could gain 1.5 CPD points with attendance certificate be awarded after seminar.

From 1 January 2020, application policy would be started as follows: -
1) Application fee $100 (non-refundable) would be charged (for Professional & Associate Grade); Free (for Student Grade).
2) Application period would be limited to 6 months since the first notice from the Institute to the applicant.
3) If your application is received by the Institute without correct application fee & reference document attached within the captioned 6 months, your application will be returned to you without processing.

Hong Kong Institute of Civil and Building Information Management (HKICBIM) is a newly formed institute which provides an informative platform for civil and building counterparts to network and exchange civil Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge. HKICBIM aims to foster technological innovation and accelerate the adoption of Civil and Building Information Modeling Management in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry.

The Articles and By-Laws set out the HKICBIM objectives of establishment, grades of membership, structure and management, professional conduct, and other rules relevant to conduct the affairs of HKICBIM. In addition, the By-Laws may be revised and supplemented periodically as and when necessary.
