Webinar on Hong Kong BIM Adoption Survey 2019
– by the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has conducted a region-based BIM Adoption Survey in the year of 2019, with the aims to establish a fuller picture of the BIM adoption situation in the Hong Kong construction industry and a baseline for bench-marking BIM adoption

[For BIM Adoption Survey: please click here]

This survey reached out to Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO) organisations from seven key stakeholder groups (including 1) government departments; 2) statutory bodies; 3) real estate developers and asset owners; 4) consultants specialized in design, engineering and surveying; 5) BIM consultants; 6) main contractors; and 7) subcontractors). Responses from over 700 organisations were received. In-depth interviews were held for 21 organisations to gain further insights on their BIM adoption status and efforts.

In this webinar, Ar Ada Fung, the Chairperson of Committee on BIM, CIC, will introduce the results of the survey. She will also talk about the transition needs to be taken, and recommendations to address the hurdles and challenges faced by different stakeholders and to realize the benefits of BIM.
